there will always be 'outliers' as such, but in general, better wages = better players= higher league position

It's not just "better" players you can attract but the higher wages (which often result from continued success) means that a club is more likely to land the specific players they target for a particular role. They will not have to make do with someone who is not quite what they wanted....

Haha no chance Dave. You don't get to set an arbitrary benchmark of Martinez' one good season, just so you can turn around in a few months and say "Look! Koeman is worse than Martinez!"

Martinez inherited a really solid team who finished 6th. Koeman has inherited one of the most unbalanced Everton squads i've ever seen in my lifetime, on the back of two 11th place finishes and the worst home record in our history.

1st season Martinez vs. 1st season Koeman is not a fair comparison.

You dont think Martinez' 1st season and Koemans 1st seasons are fair comparisons?

The price only went crazy this summer due to the new tv money. I honestly don't understand your point, are you saying the fraud Martinez is a better manager than Koeman in every aspect?

So nobody has anything new to add about Koeman? it's just the bitter Martinez fans clogging the thread up still writing bilge about the manager who turned us into a spineless and often pointless outfit for the whole of last season and most of the season before, after he finally dismantled all of the good work done by his predecessor David Moyes and left the squad in absolute tatters with his gross managerial incompetence.
