He played three games for the England U19s in the break and picked up a knock - so wasn't risked in a Premier League game where (somewhat predictably) the intensity is a tad higher than a game in the U23s.

Coleman is class. Holgate was torn apart by Norwich.

- Norwich loss
- Bournemouth loss
- Palace draw
- Burnley loss
- Chelsea loss
- Swansea draw

So it's not 8 poor results is it... just to nit-pick.

We should be beating Norwich, Palace, Swansea and Burnley.

We shouldn't be getting hammered by Chelsea.

We shouldn't be losing at Bournemouth, though we have no right to turn up anywhere and expect to win, we should be doing better.

He did show that he can play there on Saturday - as long as it's in a 3.

We switched to a more 'traditional' 4-3-3 for the second half and it freed Barkley up to roam around and have more space, helped by Swansea being camped so far back like.

Oh he can play there, he is totally ineffective and an absolute defensive liability, but he can play there. We'd get mullered if he was part of a central midfield duo though, he isn't good enough.

Think the biggest problem is Barry.

As although he is probably our best midfielder, he also means we have to play in a certain way. I think who we go after in Jan, will determine where Koeman sees Barkley as playing. So if we go after Schneiderlin or Carvalho etc, Barkley will stay where he is. But if we go after a number 10, there is a chance of him being moved back and played as box to box.
