Because when this slump started we were sitting in second place and unbeaten.

How anyone can say they are happy.....or even content.....with sitting in seventh place from such a strong position and with games against Bournemouth, Burnley, Palace and blooming Swansea on the horizon is totally beyond me

Seriously, I bet very few of our friends on here would have envisaged us being outside the top four at this stage, let alone the top six, the night we beat Boro.

This past two months has been a major disappointment and it is better we call it so.

I agree. We shouldn't have dropped the points.

However, we are still in a good position in the table, regardless of where we were a few months ago.

Realistically, I didn't think we'd stay there.

Did I think the slump would be this bad? No, not at all. And I'm not making excuses for it.

It needs addressing. My point is why moan about it and the manager when he's 12 games into his tenure and it's evidently clear that he is just as unhappy with how we're playing as we are.

Where did you find the interviews?

Through work Zat - though Baines (and I believe Coleman) are also on the Everton site.

The company I work for has its own streaming service for every game that also stays on air for the pressers/interviews afterwards.

Its usually a decent barometer for league placing.

Is it? Do burnley pay more than sunderland for example? Bournmouth pay more than west ham?

Means nothing in the end, just a statistic that roughly works out similar results because the team tends to finish there. Bit like saying if we paid our players 30 grand a week more tomorrow we should be finishing in the top 4.

As I intimated to @MoutsGoat last night, Toff......we are all singing off the same page.

Some just sing in a different key to others.

But the whole choir has the same aim.....to see great success for EFC

This slump needs arresting right now before it develops into a crisis.

My one source of slight positivity regarding our run up to the new year is that the toughest games are the home games, so there are none where we should be lying down and expecting defeat. I fear we may well struggle, but we certainly can win some. Lot depends on the attitude of the players needless to say.

Of those games, I am thinking United at home is the most "winnable".

He/his PR team tweeted that he was disappointed with how we started and that the second half was a bit more like it. The only positive was still unbeaten at home.
