Ronald Koeman discussion

That's the thing I've pointed out, if the players aren't able to play the system Koeman wants to play, then he needs to stop flogging a dead horse and play a system that suits the players we have, over the next 2 transfer windows he can try and get in the type of players to suit his pressing game.
I said the same myself in another post, its a case of adapting the system to fit the players until he can get his own type of players in,I dont buy into this idea that a premier league manager had no clue as to the type of player was at the club before he arrived,at the same time Im not absolving the players from lack of effort or pride,at the moment the two pieces arent fitting together

It's been 3 months fffs

Writing a manager off after 3 months is foolish even for us. It's just deflecting blame from the source of it as well.
Im not writing him off Ash but I am saying he needs to up his game as well, you cant just say its all the players fault,

But it seems to be massive defection from the players happening again and the immediate reaction is to blame koeman. the same team under performing for so long and it's just blame the manager no matter who it is.

Too many players escape any real blame and most of them have been here for years now. Just think after so long and reading negative about the manager after 3 months the reactional posts are just blame koeman and players get away Scotland free again .

Walsh signs players for the managers team btw so manager does have say
You're joking aren't you?! The players got booed off yesterday - again. Many of them get heckled throughout the game. Most player threads on here are full of people complaining about their performances, and there are a number of threads specifically about which players we need to get rid of & who should replace them. If you think nobody's knocking the players, you're really not looking very hard.

Of course Koeman needs time, and he isn't solely to blame for our problems by any means, but nor is he blameless. He shouldn't get a free pass just because he's not Martinez.

He's got the season to sort out the mess he inherited for me. he's needs to ship out anyone who doesn't leave everything on the pitch every week.

The lack of intensity and work rate shown by some of them simply isn't acceptable

Exactly, Klopp has taken a season to get Liverpool playing more to his style than Rodgers. He needs money from the owner and time to sort this mess out. I would happily take 7th this season and hope we can scrape EL qualification.

We have one goal option in Lukaku and he is not assisted enough. Surely Koeman will bring in creative attackers in January. If not then the way we are set up to play will get us 8th/9th spot end of the season.

6th or 7th is out realistic target with this Premiership being so strong this season, which is rather annoying as it looks like we can get that level without being that good.

Wish i was as confident as you as getting 8th or 9th mate, i fear a lot worse position.

I am not impressed - signings tactics comments - he stands on the touch line clueless - he put 6 forwards on
yesterday, and we need a fullback to rescue us!
the last two games we have looked like relegation fodder tbh!
No confidence no pattern headless chickens!
Are you suggesting we put 6 fullbacks on next time

I was talking to someone last week about first time visitors to Goodison and how I see it in their faces how they "get the club" almost in an instant. I said that the saying " once Everton has touched you etc" was not just a line but reality. I spoke to a guy last week who folows Everton everywhere and spends cash on Everton to help the club. Blue through and through.
This bloke Koeman feels little or nothing for us as a club. You can see it in his demeanour. He isn't and never will be an Evertonian. Its his job, nothing more. He would have gone home yesterday thinking it was a bad day at the office but he's not bothered about how Evertonians feel. His after match comments on fuel my feeling he is happy to blame everyone but himself.
Of course we should give him time and maybe we will start playing better when he gets his own players in but for now I just cant take to the guy or his choices. Its almost as if he wants us to look clueless . I watched their manager yesterday urging their players to hunt the ball. A few weeks back the guy from Bournemouth almost ran himself into the ground keeping his players going until the final whistle.
Our noodle stands there with his hands in his pocket and says the players don't work hard enough for the team. I couldn't agree more.

Sorry to break this to you Johnnie, but Koeman is paid by the club to manage the team, if you think cos we pay him 6m a year hes gonna suddenly become an Evertonian then ive got some pretty bad news for you.

As a player he won everything there was to win, as a Manager he has won Titles and cups, so forgive him for not being impressed by our cup win in 95.

Imagine having an utter freakshow like Klopp on the touchline, I would jaw the weapon.
