Apologies if this has already been posted, just thought it was a useful table for putting negativity about Ross's recent performances in context.

Surely not? I thought he was having a terrible season and that's why people want him dropped and why the manager is treating him like a red headed stepchild?

Those stats include corners... I can take a corner for gods sake... does is show how many players run past him with the ball? Or his shots on target ratio? Or times he has misplaced 6 yard passes?

His pass completion percentage is usually in the 90s which would answer the third one. I agree he's weak defensively but that's not really his role in the team. I'd argue the benefit of playing 2 defensive mids is that you don't need your attacking mids to defend as much. I can't imagine city fans complain about David Silva's defensive contribution as long as he's creating opportunities.

Having spent years watching Everton players hit the first man with corners I guess I don't think they're as straightforward as you do!
