I've mentioned this before, are Everton players to well behaved?

Just watching the Reading Liverpool match (its 2-2 at the minute). Every decision that doesn't go Liverpools way, they are questioning why. Just then a questionable free-kick was given to Reading and three Liverpool players ran to the referee asking why.

I know its not right, I know as a whole its not good for the game but when other clubs are using it to their advantage then so should we. There wasn't one bloody appeal from an Everton player against Metalist when that penalty was ordered to be retaken.

So I pose the question, should Everton players be pressuring the officials more?

Now it may be because am a right argumentative so and so when I play football (actually got sent off for dissent when playing for University last year) but I definitely think Everton are too nice for their own good.

Sissoko has just picked the ball up before the referee blew the whistle.

Seconds later, the referee blew the whistle and gave Sissoko the free kick.

Stupidity if he got booked for picking the ball up, but its another prime example.

Thats a prime example of whats wrong with football and typical of the [Poor language removed].

But if you wave a knitted scarf over your head, wear replica colours and generally act like a ted then youre forgiven by the media.

I agree Ged, but it seems to be effective, especially when Man Utd do it.

Its very rare you ever see Everton players kick off at officials. The personality of the squad just isn't like that. I don't think the likes of Lescott, Osman, Carsley, Neville, Yobo and Johnson would ever open their mouths if they felt a decision wasn't right, in fact, Johnson dares not even glance at the referee if theres any hint of a penalty appeal.

Time to toughen up maybe, although the fair play league enters you into a draw for a place in the inter-toto cup ! ;)

If Johnson played in red he would have had double the amount of penalties he's had. See: Gerrard, Steven.

I'd rather we did it our way Danny, I cant condone any team acting like complete spoilt [Poor language removed] when things arent going their way. United are embarassing at times. Ultimately it would be our players who would get sent off for dissent, like McFadden in the League Cup last year.

Rugby Union is how it should be, the ref has the respect of the players and wont cross the line. Footballers are over paid Prima Dona gobshites and it shows. Its just that we have less of them at our club and we should be thankful for that.

What a [Poor language removed] post. Go me.

The Red [Poor language removed] and their noxtious fans always whine when things dont go their way. "We can sign Masherano the rules don't apply to us!" "Send Mike Riley to the Championship!" "I'm going to fall down right at this spot so you better blow your whistle!", "We finished 5th we deserve to go to the champions league! Wahhhhh!!" Though the FA always caves to Liverpool (and Manure) so in a way I can't blame them.

The best was Terry trying to grab the refs red card and put in back into his pocket this sunday. This is England's captain? He should worry more about his own play than the refs. Way to stand around picking your nose and letting Tevez score JT. He also didn't mark Vidic and let him get a free header eariler.

our players arent allowed to get away with it, wrong badge on the shirt, not a member of the g14,

cahill second yellow at city fo celebrating - keegan got it right, players arent robots (bad hair cut though)

poll and the 'keep your eye on him' (ferguson) victimisation

poll and the westerveld hutch goal

poll and the jimmy mac [Poor language removed] and cheat issue

poll missing the She_Laa two footer on naysmith

poll for being born

poll for being allowed to continue breathing

poll for being poll.

before i forget, collina for seeing something the camera doesnt show (**** of a corrupt italian so called referee - hope those pennies from juve keep the demons away)

who was it that over ruled the goal at spurs that carroll dug out from 5 yards over the line?

how did cantona not get a real sentance for assaulting a member of the public in an unprovoked attack?

fowler backing into grant in the derby at goodison and him going off in a neck brace

that inbred [Poor language removed] for kiev that tried to cut artetas career short

how many times? how often does it happen against the so called top four? trevor brookings west ham avoiding the fate boro earned seasons previous and thus condemning sheff utd.

if it was one or two referees they would stand out every time, but the problem is much higher up the food chain, the stench of corruption is rife and emanates from the FA and all its suck ups and clingers on.

I dont care if other teams get away with it, it makes a disgrace of football so I wouldnt want Everton to do that. As well as getting benefits by hassling the ref theres is always benefits from not hassling him too. If Everton play by the rules its only human that refs would come to admire Everton and that can work in our favour.

In any case, football is just a game, a game has rules, so lets follow them. If utd and the [Poor language removed] dont want to follow this then [Poor language removed] them, they'll eventually get whats coming to them.

Ha ha yeah, but he claimed he didnt swear!

I know, but even if he did why don't referees send off the entire mob that surrounds them when they get mobbed I guarantee that half of the players are saying "F off ref, where the f. is the penalty etc"

Double standards, there is a set of rules for the top 4 clubs and there is a set for the rest of us.

Your exactly right zero. Personally if i was a ref id send anyone off if he ran up and started screaming in my face. Football is a joke when it comes to obeying the rules.
