Ross Barkley

He couldn't play in a Pep team, no chance.
Look at Sterling. If I was Pep and I could get him for a reasonable amount I would take the risk.

Ross reminds me the smart kid in class who doesn't do any work because he's bored. I also think Pep is leagues ahead of any coach when it comes to giving players instructions and I think Barkley needs that.

I do however think there's a very strong likelihood like Toure Pep wouldn't go near him with a barge pole.

He cant even play in a Koeman team!

Im basing this on his current form, which for me is total pants, hes not doing anything hes meant to be doing, Ross Barkley at his best is a wonderful player, we have seen it, the lad who ran the length of the pitch and slotted versus Newcastle, the lad who dinked that great goal versus City, a 2 footed player who glides across the pitch, slots for fun and passes like Zidane.

We currently have a player that makes The Clev look talented, sadly.

Come back to us Ross, SOON.

Think you're forgetting how good Zidane was.

I agree with everything here except the final point.

You are basically saying Martinez needed to change to account for Barkley's laziness. Barkley is a decent player but he's not Zidane. He's not running games and dominating teams, scoring goals and getting assists. You could literally take the No 10 from any team in the league and I doubt it would make much of a difference.

He's a luxury that we have been indulging for 3 seasons who isn't performing. Koeman is right. He's not a boy any longer and it's time to either put in the work rate or increase his influence on the game.

He started well yesterday for one half but got lazy again in the 2nd half and that's why Palace started dominating us and then was rightly subbed.

Martinez didn't adapt his tactics and put his faith too much behind Barkley. It's no surprise in the end he had finally fallen out with him because it was Barkley that got Martinez sacked.

Sorry I know this is blunt and we don't want to hurt his fragile confidence but I'm sick of it. He either works harder or we need to sell him. At least Koeman is trying to fix him before he gives up on him.
He's a luxury we indulged? He scored and laid on 16 goals last season and his emergence as a player casts very positive light on this club as he takes that profile international. His stats at this age compare very favourably with the best in his position at his age who have preceded him and those around now.

WT actual F is going on amongst some of our fans that they'd want to denigrate this lad? He's not the finished product, he's 23. He's easily our best player in terms of ability when he's on blob. Please just stop and think what your saying. Just because the Dutchman launches a public attack on him doesn't mean that we all have to fall into line and do so too.

It is about time he got his ar#e into gear again and start being the player we all know he can be.
And meanwhile let's tear him to pieces at every opportunity. He made his first mistake after 43 minutes in the Palace game, at which point large numbers of fans remembered why they were there and stood up to have a go at him.
Great fans we've got you know.
