He has... his goals scored stat is ok... but he doesn't score enough to warrant us changing our formation to 4-5-1 to accomodate him.. 4-5-1 is meant to make it easier to keep possession and also make it harder for the opposition to play through you... he loses the ball far to often and he DOESNT RUN OR TACKLE and I don't mean he doesn't do it often.... I mean literally... he does not tackle... if you played 4-4-2 and changed him for a striker I am pretty sure his replacement would put score him.

You really believe that scholes was only responsible for 3 assists in 70 games? Barkley is not a striker... he can't get away with playing badly just because he scored 12 goals last year.. Gerard didn't score many in his later years but was still a massive influence on matches. Ross is a midfielder and doesn't play like he is a very good one .

I don't get why we are trying to find ways to "unlock Barkley" Moyes was strict and Barkley folded ( he was young so it's understandable) next manager heaped praise on him and give him freedom to do as he liked ( Ross stopped working and became crap) now RK has said he likes him but needs to improve ... and ross is playing crap ... how many other approaches need to be taken with him... ? He's not good enough IMO . He has immense talent but is also missing the ability to use them.

Dunno mate, I dont think he has played anywhere near good enough to get a call up, if he gets picked on what we have seen it will send out the wrong impression to him.

This Friday I hope he starts, big game for Ross

Phil Neville really say that? I can't see how coaches in Spain that see Messi, Ronaldo, bale, and have seen countless other world beaters in their league... "cannot believe how skillfull ross is" they must watch him during our champions league runs.... or maybe they are scouting him? And they are so blown away by his skill that they are scared to bid for him?

He said on Monday Night football before the Sunday game that he watched Everton games with Spanish lads at Valencia, dont remember him say coaches or players and that whoever they were, all commented on how good Barkley is and were surprised by how skilful/how much freedom he had in this league.
