I dont think it's his game. He can carry the ball at pace for a fair distance taking opponents on and that has defences in disarray. If Mata was here at the club it'd take about 90 minutes from him in a blue shirt for everyone to concede that RB cant do the job he's being told to do.

I do see where you are coming from. Carrying the ball he is ace, but I'm unsure on his tackling for the middle of the park. I guess alongside gana/Barry in a 2/3 he'd have enough cover - and could get on with his game moving the ball forwards.

Really though why do not see it more? Must be a reason behind it all.

More like not at all, why on earth would you play him further back when he can't tackle, it would be a nightmare.
