Ross Barkley

People shouldn't boo him at he match.

To point out his flaws on a forum is different to slating him, English players mostly all become over rated and over hyped.

I think the people who are his critics want him to be the lad we missed out on in Rooney.

Now with this TV money we won't need to lose him, and I don't think Ross will leave.

That's why we want him to be the best he can be, we all know if he was German and played so inconsistent people would want to move him on.

He's given benefit of the doubt because he's local, that's a fact and we all know it.

“ I think the people who are his critics want him to be the lad we missed out on in Rooney.” – Wayne Rooney was a once in a lifetime academy graduate. Getting on Barkley's back for not being as good as Wayne Rooney is ridiculous.

“we all know if he was German and played so inconsistent people would want to move him on” - Not true. We have several more inconsistent foreign players who get an easier time from the crowd than Barkley does. I don’t think he is even inconsistent with his performances, most weeks he is at the centre of all our attacking play. His final pass isn’t always there yet but every week he gets on the ball, drives us forward and makes things happen. Under Koeman you can already see his fitness, workrate and work off the ball improving.

“He's given benefit of the doubt because he's local, that's a fact and we all know it.” – I disagree with this, but who cares anyway? Having a local lad at the heart of the team means a lot to most Evertonians. He can be the player we build our team around for the next 10 years and bring success back to the club. Let's support the lad.

I think that Ross should take a leaf out of Big Duncs book, and refuse to play for England under Allardyce, the 'Clown' picked about 6 Spurs
players and a couple from the RS, I said before last season ended that Kane would be a flop and that Alli & Dier are 'nearlymen'.
Big Sam will probably last a couple of years because like Hodgson, has been drawn in easy group stages. Give Ross a bit more time to
get used to playing with these new acquirements.COYB.

Aye and think back to 66, Ramsey virtually ignored our players.

....I liked RKs response to the question asked of him yesterday regarding Barkley's omission from the England squad. RK didn't blame Allerdyce, he said Barkley has to deliver consistently in every game to impress 'Big Sam'.

I can only think Barkley's place might have been under threat if the Sissoko deal been done. We'll find out under RK if the lad is the real deal.

The window was a shambles. We never got any competition for Lukaku Barkley or keeper. Just hope the lack of any options don't make them lose the fight to want to be the best. Without competition you see a lot of players lose focus and push themselves to stay on the team..

It wasn't a shambles at all...

You're completely ignoring the fact that we've got a manager who won't hesitate to drop anybody who plays below their level.

oh, fair point. And he would replace the aforementioned with....whom exactly?

Bolasie, Kev, Del, Valencia - all options there. It wouldn't be like for like, Koeman is more than happy to garner his system for the players in form/at his disposal... He did it at Southampton on loads of occasions.

We have a replacement Keeper, 3 always seemed like overkill to me.

/waits for Stickleback and Robles injury
