Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Sissoko is a tosser. Said he sat in London and never interested in coming to Everton. I can't wait for us to finish above the yids this season.
COYB.
Revenge will be sweet.

Would you say he's more a Ratta than a Moussa?

Got to say that I hope spuds have signed the NUFC version and both McCarthy (one of our family) and Ross realise that they are not automatic fixtures in the XI

I used to believe in @The Esk and all that he preached. I now feel let down, betrayed and abandoned...He lied to us all the massive whopper. He should now do the honourable thing and send us all GOT mugs as a way of saying sorry for all the pain he has caused.

I actually think The Esk was spot on with most of his information. If Koeman posted here on GOT I think he would have been ridiculed as well as even he I think expected certain deals to be completed that didn't happen just going on what he (Koeman) said in interviews...3-4 more coming in etc. Surely Koeman is in the know...yet he was wrong. The problem is elsewhere and ANY ITK would have been wrong in this window if one thinks about that. In a way its a scary thought that nobody expected this windows result...including our manager...else surely he wouldn't have mentioned incoming players etc.

Pellegrini has gone to Zenit
Januzai on loan
Martins Indi within 24 hours
Fully expected Mata to sign and for Emery to become manager.
Expected Hart to join. (The list goes on tbh)

Amazingly wasn't told any info about any players we did actually sign, or agreed fees for (Kone, Sissoko).

Not exactly my definition of 'spot on' tbh.
He overplayed his hand and then kept gambling based on flimsy media reports.

That's fine, but for people to still cling to his every word, it's embarrassing.

I suppose some did mate, yes, which - by the very nature of it...well, more fool them TBH, they should be more industry savvy being fans as even the strongest indicators can be wiped in seconds with little trace left to prove otherwise... personally I found it quite insightful and, well...hopeful. I was hopeful with some of it. I'm also aware - via another outlet surrounding my previous employ - that some of the stuff repped was 100% true. Without question, yet, sadly, as yet unofficially reported (though I'm sure in time it will be). Some though I cannot vouch for but nonetheless it gave me hope that we were/are moving on and I was happy to listen in without taking anything as 'gospel'...

My point though - which TBF I didn't make very well - was that some are going way overboard and sounding him out as a bit of a WUM, which I don't agree with at all...there's enough of those of the RS persuasion that pop in for a peep and a wind, weapons one an' all frankly.

Clearly The Esk's a passionate blue & a knowledgeable guy..so I just felt the constant haranguing a bit unfair because I'm sure the snippets were passed with good intention & faith unlike some posters who...well, we know what they do eh...

Anyway, I'm sure it'll all pass and I'm more than aware we're all entitled to our own and often varied opinions & slants on matters.

What say we all just look forward to welcoming LIONEL next January eh?

*BLAIR, obviously...;)

Good post.

Because unlike last year, we now have Chelsea/City/United guaranteed to be top 3 with Spurs/Arsenal/Lpool/Leicester & any other surprises like Soton/WHam/Stoke (Strengthened with Bony, Indi) beneath them. Now where we end up is anyones guess...Hopefully fighting it out with Spurs/Arsenal/L'Pool. But imagine we get an injury to Lukaku though?

And it's not over one overrated player. We were promised 100m spending & ended up selling stones and signing some very underwhelming players such as Bolasie/Valencia.
Find me the quote from Moshiri that said we were going to spend 100 million.

;)

It's funny...not long ago this was 'the best squad we've had since the 80's'.

And the only things to happen to that since is that it's been added to and improved upon, we've gained mega-bucks on a defender who was, at times, a liability and as BOSS as he could have been (and prob will be) he simply didn't want to be here and hadn't wanted to be for some time, we've kept a player who many were sure would off...oh, and we've got an honest, well-respected manager who doesn't talk in bubbles and soundbites, a DOF newly in place and a billionaire owner also new in the role t'boot...

But it's all crap now eh...

Some people just dig that half-empty glass innits.
100% mate!

Haha! I made a general point the other week that money buys success, and the best players cost the most money, and was given all manner of abuse and people throwing Leicester and Mahrez at me.
Money is the overriding factor of success in football.
