Considering only two can accurately be called "good" players I struggle to see how this has been a very good window. Its mostly overpaying for mediocrity. The only signings we've really nailed are on the staff and Koeman won't be playing any matches for us. Though atleast I trust him to get the best out of mediocre players.
I reckon relative to the last two seasons we will do well, but that won't be because of our player signings, and I won't start thinking that players I have always viewed at average are decent because we signed them.

Which are the two players you would call "good" then? This must just be a difference of opinion, but I can't think of a player we have signed who you wouldn't describe as good. Stek was a freebie, and even he seems very much competent.
The other signings all seem shrewd signings for good professionals, all with experience of the premier league.
Spurs are just running the price up. They don't actually want him at the £30m+ being quoted - where would he play for them?

He is absolute [Poor language removed], plays well one in every 7. Buzzing he has f&*ked off to a champions league team as he wished Enjoy, he will probably play class first game then not bother again until after Christmas. Still can't believe we are going to get 30m for this tool

Ha ha melt down commences. We have a stronger squad yet its still not enough. Yes they are over priced but its not yours or my money but the result is the same....a stronger team and squad. Unable to get all our targets but it happens....but the result is we still have a stronger squad. We are not the spoilt brat of football teams and get everything we want but reading this forum I think some of our fans are. Step by step is what we have to do. I am quite pleased overall but would have been happier if we got all our targets but what team got all there targets?

Williams is just a good player all round and Gueye is good for the role we need him in.
Bolasie was rubbish for Palace. Grossly overpaid for a player whose had just a few decent games in the premier league. Stek has done ok so far, but has been rubbish since leaving the Netherlands and has to have quite a few more decent games before he can be described as good. The less said about Sissoko the better. Had about 3 decent games in his life.
This clearly is just a difference in opinion, but did you really rate any of those players before we signed them?
