We need some big name in to up our profile. I hope we get a nimble central attacking mid who can slot heads in with his vision.

I feel that if we take away the supposed £100m kitty/war chest that was speculated about but never actually quoted officially, then I'm pleased.

Let's look at the facts shall we?

Stekelenburg - decent looking already

Bolasie - reasonable, no reason to dislike and may bloom under Koeman

Williams - looks assured and solid, with a distinct lack of Cruyff turns in our 6 yard box thankfully

Gana - the absolute business

So for me, the actual deals done have been good.

Surely the failure to get our top targets isn't something to be happy about though Groucho.

We desperately need a striker and a creative midfielder. If we get that it will be our best transfer window in a long, long time. I just don't think we'll get either, though. Maybe somebody who becomes available last minute and Ronny decides to take a pop, another winger or something. Essentially somebody we don't really need. Really need to know why the signings weren't made if it turns out to be the case.

I agree in part. However if we get this season right that will come in time.

Perhaps some of the apparent disappointment is down to naivety on our part - I maintain that we are a big club, but to attract top dogs you need to be a big club with CL.

Were we likely to attract those top names before Koeman had seen a ball kicked in anger?

A good strong 7/10. Good signings that have added the quality to the team; loss of Stones wasn't good but we couldn't stop him.

4 tomorrow including a marquee and its going to be 9.2; bin Niasse and McGready off and its a 9.7

I honestly don't know... it's a weird one as I applaud the signings we have made by and large, but then they are on their own no where near enough to have us realistically challenge for European places.

So I'm happy with what we've done, but not happy with how much we've done.

Business right now is fine.

Balancing the squad more and bar one or two missing, we have added things we needed into the squad.

6-7 out of 10, can see us pushing for top 6 as it stands which was the aim all along

Surely that'd be a 10+ if we signed four more players!

In fact, if we even get 2 players in who are starting games for us I'd rather it as easily a 9/10 transfer window.

Desperately hope we can move the deadwood... millions thrown down the drain in wages on McGeady, Niasse, Cleverley...

This is like doing a movie review before you have seen the ending. Pretty pointless.

Anyway, 6 out of 10. Improved manager, improved first 11, improved squad. I have been impressed with what we have brought in quality wise and value wise, however it still feels slightly underwhelming and hasn't addressed all the areas needed. However the way the window has gone so far points to a busy conclusion for clubs across the board so hopefully the ending is good and bumps my final rating upwards.
