That's not how it works at all. You sign players you think would improve you as and when they become available not when you feel like 'tinkering about with the team'
Then I'd suggest that shifting okayers out if there prior to getting them in would be the correct running order. This way we end up with about 6 CMs chasing two spots.

Yes - that's what we were all hoping for......and it still could happen.....there are two days left of the window.

No, utter nonsense regarding the "moving the goalposts". It is called being realistic. At the end of the day, the "goalposts" you mention are set by Moshiri and the club. None of these "goalposts" have been made public by the club - everything on here is pure speculation:

The "£100M warchest" - speculation.
"We're going to sign loads of boss players to make a statement" - speculation.

What makes the difference between us and the bedwetters are we can see the progress that has been made with the management and the squad - and the plans for the stadium are to be announced in due course. I'm happy with that progress. The only person you can blame for you wetting the bed over this whole situation is yourself. You're getting all upset because Everton haven't delivered on promises they never made. Deal with it.
Good post mate .. Agree with all .. Also reckon we will sign a lot more players in this and the next window. We are just not attactive enough yet to some of the big names we have been linked with .. Patience needed as Moshri is in this for the long term !

You know what'll be mate: new stadium 'information' via the Echo:

"World Exclusive: Blues in talks about talks about buying some land somewhere generally in that direction toward the docks. Everything's going to be sound".

And the clappers lap it up.....it's like a merry go round, seen it all before....We'll see it all again.

Moshiri......

...you get your primary targets in and tinker about with that later.

GK
ACM
2nd Striker.

All crucial, none in. Two days to get them. Ninety days since the window officially opened.

Unimpressive.
Doesn't that sound great.

Wouldn't it be delightful to sign only your first-choices, in the order you desire them, and have it all sorted in the first week of July?

The reality is that doing deals, especially of the calibre we're attempting, is fraught with difficulties.

Aside from any primary targets, you grab players you think you'd like when you can. They are the easy ones, because it's purely opportunistic.

I'd hope our primary targets are those right on the cusp of attainability, and therefore difficult and arduous to complete.

But of course, we could go your route and get the easiest pegs to fill the holes.

Dave mate - remember your favourite season with the landmark 72 points?

3 IN in the last hour of deadline day...
We'd had to get rid a lot of players to do that and had little cash prior to that point....surely you're not suggesting it's the same now?????

Most Everton fans are little moaners.. Always have been always will..
Disagree in the main mate
Everton fans have always show annoyance at players not giving their all, but I think in the main are very understanding and balanced.....we do have section of moaners but very much in th minority

What we do have now is a creeping section of fans who have this sense of self entitlement....

Then the earth shouldn't have been promised then really should it?
