He'll want more than two strikers in his squad and with Niasse frozen out, Kone has every chance of staying at the club even with a new face coming in. I actually think Koeman could do a 'shane long' on him. There's a player in there somewhere!

3rd choice forward, maybe not even that as Koeman may play Mirellas or Geri up with Lukaku if we don't get the Italian lad. That is a spot for an up and coming player not one over 30.

shane long wasn't a crap player before going to soton, as most seem to think on here. He's always been a very good all round forward, just without the great goal scoring stats - not at prem level anyway. Kone, hmm, yeah, there are comparisons in that regard, i think he's struggled since the bad injury though and age is not on his side. Can't see him being sold though, we wouldn't have a 3rd choice striker ... deulofeu was just being tried there imo.

shouts for Clint Dempsey been heard. OK, yes he'd be a marquee signing but I do not consider him to be 'all that'. No fee was mentioned but you'd imagine it to be in the 25-30mio ballpark...imo think we can get better for that.

Sorry what? he would not be a marquee signing and would definitely be nowhere near 25-30M range

Brahimi is extremely overrated to be fair, I blame it on football manager players.

Porto would laugh all the way to the bank with anything above 15 million euros

I dont think Dempsey would be a good fit for Koeman's style. While he can score, and has the ball skills, theres no way hes pressing, and he tends to be a bit "lazy" with his play. He would have fit Martinez style, but not Koemans IMHO.
