Why would he lie though mate?
I think partially to explain to the fans that he is leaving behind why he is doing so.
I imagine that a player will feel some regret at leaving supporters that have supported him and chanted his name week after week, not to mention helped pay his wages.

£10.8m for Cillessen .... I'd have thought Koeman would onto that for a fellow countryman!

Is Cillesen going to Barcelona to be their no.1 keeper in La Liga as he is 'cup-tied' for the CL? If MdS is the new no.1 there then a whole season on the bench.

The City games was on RTE television last night, I didn't watch it but after the game as I was running through the channels for something to watch I flicked it on for a while.
Liam Brady was talking about Hart, Stones, Pep and the future for City in general.
Of the Irish born television pundits Brady is the one that I think talks most sense. Dunphy is a basket case.

He has doubts that the system favoured by Guardiola will work in England. He has reservations about Stones and felt that last season at Everton he turned a lot of supporters against him by his insistence on playing his way out of trouble and being at least in part responsible for Everton conceding poor goals.

I am still cringing at how we're signing that one goalie who had the worst showing at the euros. I'd rather have that hungarian lad in sweatpants.

The Euro's. The one true measure of talent.

I'm not interested in daft things like "league titles" or form over 6 to 8 years. That is ridiculous. It's all about those three weeks. I only want players who were good in those three weeks specifically.

I'm just praying we can sign Hal Robson-Kanu before Barca make their move. Eder, Zoltan Gera and the entire population of Iceland would also be astute acquisitions IMHO.

Use to like Brady until he continued to back trap n came out with some very strange things during that time. His knowledge of the game is excellent though. Proper baller when he played too.

I really don't think it was meant as an insult. He's just joined a new club who, let's be honest, we have come nowhere near to over the last few seasons.
