I have thought long and hard about this and my preference would be for a loan.

Stek should be given time to prove that last Saturday is his normal level.

If he is that good then no point having a hugely expensive purchase on the bench.

If he is not, we can try out Hart and give him time to show us the is worth the investment.

I would be slow to spend large on him right now for a permanent move.

I think that'll be the plan should we be in for Hart mate.

Expect a move for a keeper to drag on until the end of the window tbh.

City will want a keeper in before they even let one of theirs go, and similarly Barca will probably want one in/lined up to replace whichever one of their keepers goes to City, so that may hold up the deal slightly.

Steck played in the Prem fo Southampton - needing time at the age of 33?????????

Is this actually happening ?
It's looking like we're his best option for a season long loan while he figures out his long term future.

All for that myself. All parties are safe and it can always be made permanent next summer.

Once Everton has touched you and all that jazz...

A loan would be ok but he's still a bad beaut

The season long lone will be his doing, he will be in the last year of his city contract and be cheaper whatever his performance this current season. Never been convinced by the No 1, England keeper tag, and what I see of his media interviews, I don't much like him.

No.

Good keeper or not, he's a massive bellend, and we're Everton.

Same reason I wouldn't want Suarez anywhere near our club. Fine player but a racist nob.

We're better than that.

I'm sorry mate but we've tried having a team full of goodie goodie nice guys and got absolutely nowhere, so I'm not arsed about that tbh. Give me a team of winners instead
