You cannot take places like this too seriously.
Fans have their opinions and they pay good money to support their team so they should be allowed to express them.

However, they cannot and should not be taken seriously.
Professionals look at football in a different way to fans, they see different things and look for different things.
Joe Hart is a case in point.
Let's forget money for a second. We either can afford him or not and that is the decision for owner and board.
Joe Hart as our goalkeeper raises the bar in terms of quality throughout our team. He has high standards , his career proves this, he will demand more from his defence and that will spread forward throughout the team.

Every player we bring in should raise the quality of the squad by a small margin or sometimes by a large margin... this would be a large margin.
He is the national goalkeeper , just heading into the best years of his career.

I am not saying he will sign for Everton, I hope he does but it may be a deal that can't be done.

I am genuinely flabbergasted at the suggestion from anyone that he wouldn't improve us hugely

In the top 5 keepers in the league and probably the top dozen or so in the world still in my view

If there was any chance of this at all, I'd be all over it. Even just a loan.

40m and 200k a week for Joe Hart would be an absolute disgrace. Average keeper in almost every department. I genuinely think Forster is a better keeper. Loan would be best for us. Take him for a year while we assess the market, buy a new keeper and then ultimately send him back.

It's seriously large amount of money......just buy the keeper that Pep wants as his replacement.......

Remember the fume from Samuels at the mail for all our loan signings?

I for one welcome its return

Was so funny when Samuels came out and said he wasn't having a pop at us, he was just using us as an 'example' of clubs loaning players, even though at the time the RS, and a few other clubs had the same amount of loan players as us.

No.

Good keeper or not, he's a massive bellend, and we're Everton.

Same reason I wouldn't want Suarez anywhere near our club. Fine player but a racist nob.

We're better than that.

My favourite part was that we had the players we couldnt otherwise afford. And then we bought them all
