I have just read that Hart's fee is £40 mill plus £200,000 a week wages. I know papers like to sensationalise but that is ridiculous.
Maybe half that and even then it is a risk.

I don't think we'd have many issues with whatever the fee might be if we want him.

I'm not sure we'd go that high for wages though.

I don't watch City regularly so it's hard for me to judge him fairly or get that excited about this one. I can just remember the times he's been dropped after high profile errors and his performances for England which haven't been exceptional by any means.

I get the impression that he used to be better than he is now.

You see, comments like this baffle me.

Y'know, if we'd had Casillas in net for the past decade, I'd get it. But fgs, we've had Tim Howard, Iain Turner, Carlo Nash and Joel Robles...

Because I don't rate him! What's baffling about that?

He's Tim Howard mkII - gets himself too wound up for matches then goes and drops blunders.

I've given up on caring about transfer fees to be honest. Makes no real difference to me.
It has gone mad. As soon as Jordan Ibe went for 15 million it was clear transfer fees were a nonsense. Just forget the money, it's not from our pocket anyway, just focus on the player. Everton are better with Joe Hart than without.

Unlike Captain 'Murica though, Hart is well capable of producing ridiculous match-winning saves and having blinding games where he's unbeatable. He'd save us more points than he'd lose, without a doubt
