I agree, and the creation of space for others, for example, is a less statistically quantifiable parameter but can change games. I was just pointing out that the media is now totally stats driven and our support, like everyone else, is affected by that coverage and he'll probably be judged on that basis. If things are going well, let's say at a team like Real Madrid, then that narrative doesn't matter. If, however, things aren't and people are fishing around for someone to blame, then a combination of a high fee and relatively poor "headline" stats will make players vulnerable to criticism.
