Change of mindset

If we had the City owners I wish we'd charter 19 massive planes, fly over every ground and dump oil right onto their pitches to spell out LOL just to show how rich we are and where all the moolah has come from.

Sadly, with the current setup we're more likely to try and sell a top player to each of the 19 other clubs.
Niasse, Kone, McGeady for a start

We started being the nicey nicey, care & concern club when we couldn't compete financially. Before that, we were as ruthless as anyone else.

Make them hate us, Everton. We long for their spit & curses.

I love Jagielka, but he is not the man to lead us into this glorious new era. I want a crazy Eastern European thug in centre midfield who doesn't hesitate to rip the refs arms off if he tries to reach for a card. Ruthless on and off the pitch is what I want.

The way they unceremoniously shunted pienaar Hibbert and osman out shows these new fellas don't care for sentiment and in long run will hopefully translate to how we deal with other clubs and are viewed by public ...nice guys finish nowhere

Comments after we truned Bayern over....

The Germans were miffed at what they saw as a overly physical approach, with coach Udo Lattek saying: “This was not football, Mr Kendall”, but while Kendal admitted the plan had been to put the Germans under relentless pressure from the off, it’s undeniable that his team could play a bit too.

This mate, all day long, kick them shinless, then play around them like gods! :)

About time we dropped the "cuddly" Everton image. Football is a business now, and you don't go far in business by being "nice". Time for some ruthlessness and snide ;)

Williams will almost certainly impose some of that ruthlessness even though he isn't the captain. I'm sure Koeman will also embed into the squad.

Rightfully there's the talk of the ruthlessness off the pitch (how we manage signings, players etc) but it's easy to start it on the pitch itself.

Let's not make it easy for opposition by agreeing with decisions, or simply letting them have the ball. Time waste a bit and be more physical.

This might have been done before but I couldn't see anything, mostly because I couldn't be arsed to look really.

As a fan base and club do we need to toughen up a bit and stop being cry arses about the way that modern football works? We often see other fans mention our traditions, the peoples club tag, we're always the nice respectful team that wouldn't do anything underhand etc.

I was going to write a whole load of things but I lost my train of thought, but basically what I'm trying to say is I don't care if we unsettle other clubs players anymore, I don't care if we push them into handing in transfer requests to force a move to us, I don't care if we chuck an extra £5m at a transfer fee to blow another team out of the water, it's great to be in a position to do that now.

Pre-takeover I probably would have said I wouldn't want us to behave in that way, but now I want us to be utterly ruthless and use the tactics so often employed against us to give us the best possible chance of winning some silverware, I honestly don't care what other sets of fans we [Poor language removed] along the way either.

It might seem arrogant, it might make us sound like bellends, but I think we've concerned ourselves for too long with what other people think. Buy all the players and win something please Everton.
Yes mate let's get down and dirty. Pure filth.

Get the sentiment but while I don't want us to be soft touches I do however want us to do things in the right manner and not become a festering hole of immorality like some of the others I detest in the game.

But... there's no evidence of this yet, it still looks like they have had to sell before they could buy and although reports say fees are agreed for Bolasie & Kone their still not Everton players.

Other players we've been linked with Mata, Bony if the manager wants them and the money is there then what are they waiting for? For Chelsea to bid for Lukaku?

Sorry like but its just how it looks.
