SAFC must have agreed to let him talk to us, plus you seem to have loads of centre halves now you have signed Mcnair, do you reckon you are preparing to lose him?

We were quite light on centre halves in truth and kaboul was injury prone.

Think we have 5 now including the two new ones and one of those is John o'shea.

I'd let Jags go to you. He's got a couple of years left in him and needs a change and he played some of his best football under Moyes. Would be good for you and us.

I love Jags, but if Koeman is gonna bring in 2 CBs, he wont get a game IMO and hes to old to be sitting on the bench, he needs games every week at his age or his body will just shut down.

Yes a manager like HC if he liked him as a player it would have been done and dusted with Jags going the other way also with a reduced fee of the 18 million they want could have had him for 10 million?

the story is that he was promised an improved deal from the club should they stay up (when they signed him in Jan that is).

I do think we're in for him - or at least interested - not sure we've made a bid that matches Sunderland's valuation however we have quite clearly been given permission to speak to him.

Why would he want to stay. Why would his agent want him to stay. If he moves they get a cut of a transfer fee and he gets a nice new contract anyway.......
