It's likely that Sunderland want to sell him. Just look at their squad list:

Centre backs:

Younes Kaboul
John O'Shea
Jan Kirchhoff
Papy Djilobodji
Paddy McNair - the last two bought in the last few days ..

Lamine Kone would be the 6th CB on their books. Therefore, it sounds plausible that Moyes wants to sell him and get 18 million or so to invest in other areas of his squad. (Rather than keep him and double/increase his salary.) ?
 

Video on our forum of him coming out of training. He says he hasn't been in touch with Everton and that we said we would offer him a new deal but haven't yet and that he wants to stay.

Haven't seen the video as at work but that was the feeling from the thread

He didn't mention Everton mate, he was asked about leaving and said he'd been promised a new contract and it hadn't happened.

The kids asked him if he wanted to stay and he said yes, but in fairness that was the only thing he could have said in that situation lol

All becoming a bit unseemly this, sounds like Moyes wants to use the lad to bolster his transfer kitty to me.
