Just take the loss and get him off the books, he's one of our top earners which is just incredible when you consider how bad he is. If Galatasray walk away then offer him to Hull after they unveil Martinez seeing as Bobby was so in love with him. I'm serious, it would be a win-win situation. Either they take the lad and we are shot of him or Martinez basically publicly admits to the world he blew £13.5m. I feel like trolling that bad bell.

Just reading on wiki he played 28 games in two seasons in Russia, showing clearly how unfit/injury prone he is.. And he arrived "ready to play" as Martinez said, yet was injured for the first three months?

Someone has written "he is known for his pace and strength" surely a p@@@ take?

I mean it was just such a risk to sign a player from Russia who's injured a lot who's never played at a high level for that amount of money.

It's not so much the fact they got it so wrong with how bad he is, it's the fact that in January we needed a player who could come in and play right away to help push us up the league. the money should have been spent on someone who could come in straight away, who was fit to start

After McGeady (who was genuinely rated very highly and missed when he left) and Niasse (player of the year) - why are we falling over ourselves to pay big money for Witzel? Performance in the Russian League doesn't seem to correlate at all with doing well in the Premier League. However much you hate the guy now there's no denying that Niasse is very highly rated in Russia. So was McGeady. Surely you'd think the scouting network would be swerving Russia altogether now.
