But what about this Kit?

If Witsel is not good enough (which he very much is, btw) for a side that has finished 11th two years running and will most likely sell one of their best players this summer, and yet he is delaying signing with us... well what is a player who is presumably 'better' going to do?

Witsel is a class midfielder who would improve us, and while he's not the best in the game or anything like that, he's a realistic option and example of the class of player that we can currently attract.
Mate young Davies and Dowell are better than what we have in the middle now. I'd rather keep the £30m, put another £30m in and bid for a genuine superstar of the game.
Witsel, once again in my opinion, and I base that on the little I have seen isn't going to help propel Everton into top 4 reckoning.
£30m should be getting us guns like Mkhitaryan.

Be calm, you boobs, trust in the MOSH, have faith in our billionaire owner, the one who's used to getting what he wants...

Heck & twinkles, some of you wouldn't know a sense of the positive if it bit you on the teats and bought you a pale ale.

It's all gonna be ooooooooooooh-k.

Just written today's shopping list:

My number one target is a Mars Bar
Two is a Cartier Watch and
Three is a new BMW.

Watch me get my number one target.

Haha why did you think that?

Mane and Wijnaldum are both decent players, but as always with that rabble, they aren't learning their lesson and are simply buying a load of new players that now need to gel together.

I thought Klopp might go for younger lesser known continental talent. Instead he has continued Rodger's transfer policy of paying over the odds for inconsistent premier league talent.

the thing is you need to convince players to come here, they'll just see a team who finished 11th and hasnt won anything since 1995 but has a ton of new investment. The money will be attractive to them but Koeman needs to convince them we'll be winning things soon. We would've never beaten Jose and UTD to Mkhitaryan THIS summer.

So we 'waste' £30m on someone worth half that in transfer fee and wages that probably won't take us to where we want to get?

I still say I prefer a £60m bid for a James type.

Before you tell me James will reject us, how does it feel to have Witsel clearly not wanting to come here...but may take the money?

....I suspect some of this is tactical and political. The club are making a statement that EFC are seriously big players in the transfer market. We have the money to compete and we want clubs to know it.
Actually don't think this is the case at all. No football club - particularly Everton - would overspend just for the sake of it and willingly throw away money. The truth is more likely something that the papers haven't yet made lies up about, i.e. Witsel has agreed terms with us but has asked for time to consider the move as he doesn't really want to join us, aside from for the money. There are much better players about, especially for 30m and 100k a week. Time to let him join somebody else and move on. No problem.

That's great. But they'll all laugh at us when we spend £100m on players not worthy and make the Europa league at best.

Statements of intent should be offering, getting and paying wages for top end players. That's what earns respect and fear from others. Not overpaying.

We have decent squad already that just needs a few quality additions and a proper manager which we now have. Brown shoes management was woeful ! Some of the deadwood already gone and don't see any future for mcgeady , Kone or Niasse . Plenty of good young players ... The future is bright lads - be confident
