Everton Transfer Thread 2016

The most astounding thing in this thread for me is the fact posters don't have the posters who are total bells on ignore.

If I stick a load of the bells on ignore does that mean I will be able to read through the pages quicker? Will there be less nonsense?
If it does, I'm going on a cull!

Spot on.

Whilst we're on the subject, I would remark on how the striker situation is different to the RB position to preempt any "No backup for Lukaku then?" Here, the manager may want to play two strikers; he will never play 2 Right Backs! So it is perfectly acceptable to have a "backup" striker brought in here, as he can also be used in unison with Rom at times.

Yes and Lukaku needs to know he is not undroppable. Kenny will not let us down and in all honesty, in a world where Tomkins goes for 15 million I would rather give Kenny a go if Coleman gets injured. None of the young lads let us down last season.

Had a stroll around town this afternoon, quite nice out there really. Had a wander through the Eden shopping centre and purchased myself a Mi-Shake with maltesers, galaxy caramel and kitkat in. Quite expensive for the amount you get really.

Just watching a fat woman waddle out of Iceland from my office window now, she's screaming at her kids and trying to keep hold of the pushchair that's got about 40 bags of chicken nuggets hanging off it.

She doesn't look like she has any transfer news either.
The most interesting part of that story is that you have a job.

Two semi finals. If we had of bought an experienced right back, something similar to a fit oviedo then we probably would have won both and won both cups.

We shouldn't be using kids as our first line of defense. They should either be 3rd string used only in absolute emergencies or against lower teams in cups etc or loaned out.

That's a bold statement (no pun intended)

We weren't too far off in either and in both games that was the weakness they exploited and where they got the goals from. I don't think it's that bold at all.

I will go one further. I think the decision not to reinforce that position is probably what cost Martinez his job.

I'm not overly worried, I would be if Koeman had come out and said he was happy with the squad he had and wasn't signing anyone but as he hasn't he clearly has irons in the fire regarding getting players in. Those are getting all hysterical and throwing their toys out of the pram on an hourly basis need to show some faith. The time to lose the plot is in September when we look at the squad we have and you decide whether it is better than it was last season or not. Until then you are just getting yourself wound up for no reason.

I admit it would be nice to get the first one or two in but there are bigger things to worry about than whether Everton sign a player or not.

Haha no we wouldn't. We lost both games because of martinez. In fact the only time we looked like winning a semi final was when the team ignored martinez
