Well the make him club captain; personally can't see Barry playing that many games myself so why have a vice-captain that wears it more than the captain? Makes no sense.

The captain has a role off of the pitch too, which is arguably the more important role.

Yes, but Barry has shown no signs of losing fitness / losing quality. He's brilliant still, and thus should still be playing (until we sign somebody better, as McCarthy or Besic are not better than him).

I'd argue besic is, his pace more than makes up for the odd mistake in him and he'll only get better as he's played

That is so weird to read from a fan whose team has just won the league at a canter. I absolutely get where you're coming from, esp with the money that will be thrown around by United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea... but it just seems wrong. Think you can get top 4 next season.
