It's odd that some posters seem concerned about us over paying, as others have said, we have no European Football and have been in the relative wilderness for years, if we have any hope of attracting world class players, silly money is how we will do it. We could try sending them some old 80s You Tube Links and a Z Cars Mp3 and hope they fall in love?

....Boateng looked decent for Germany yet didn't cut it in the Premiership. I wonder if some players aren't given the chance to settle. Instant performance seems a requirement but no matter what money is involved these are young men having to adapt to new country (language, house buying, new coach etc) and a new league.
