"Everton announced the signings of Witsel and Mata this morning."

*looks up from notes to producer off camera* "On loan?"

"Erm." *shuffles notes, deer in headlight look*

"Apologies, we are experiencing technical difficulties"

*Jr. producer runs onto stage and whispers message*

"It appears Everton have signed Witsel and Mata on permanent deals."

"We are going to take a commercial break and research this a bit more."

*heard in background "call the medic, he's passed out..."

*blue dildo enters from screen right*
Probably the best thing I've ever seen regarding Everton, well since we saw big blue that is

They're hated for being delusional racist [Phrase removed]
May have been out order mate, but Id rather be called s blert than a Kopite

Lads no one is coming out well from these comments.

I'm not excusing the nature of football fans in the '80's, and Evertonians were as guilty of it as every other clubs' fans were - that's not to say it was right, but the world has mostly seen sense and moved on a lot.

No club was perfect in those days, behaviour wise. I'm certainly not excusing casual racism or violence at matches (that once ended in a fallen wall and 39 deaths), but arguing about it in 2016 isn't going to change it.

Mate, you gotta stop this paranoia, the article is probably right. Man City had similar problems (ha ha problems! )when they come into their money. We got the money, unfortunately, a few other clubs are awash with cash too. It doesnt help when the likes of Utd And Chelsea and City have new managers, therefore, probably a high turnover of players. Then you have an attractive looking Spurs side on the rise, West Ham in the new Stadium. Obviously, Arsenal. You then got the London element which the Foreigners seem to favour for some obscure reason. All chasing the same players, it's gonna be hard to get that 'statement' signing, because we ARE new to this, paying big fees & big wages. It's gonna be even harder to attract them given where we've finished the last 2 seasons.

No problem with any of that. Finding an obscure article on the Internet the only one quoting Witsel's agent calling us not a great team to use in this article? Low brow journalism. Comparing us to Newcastle? Petty. Liverpool are facing exactly the same problems as us yet you never find their local press painting them as having a perception problem.

Will be wonderful to ram our success down the throats of all the Echo kopites and watch the bile that pours forth. Horrible rag of a paper.

his agent said it though, that's what we're up against, and that's what the article is about. The article wasn't comparing us to Newcastle either, read it again.
Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is no pauper but when it was mooted that even his big money offers were falling on deaf ears because top players preferred to live in London, he once reportedly mooted moving the Magpies training base to the capital.

Hardly comparing us. Merely just using money as an example in the face of players wanting to live in London. As supporters we have to stop this paranoia with the media, it's not good.

Alastair Machray is a bitter Newcastle fan and he's one of the main men at the Echo, I'm sure he's having trouble accepting Newcastle's demise and is looking at ways of hitting back in the only way he knows how, and I'm sure there are enough rs willing to oblige.

The echo have been slapped once by their blue readership. How did they respond? Denied they had any problem whatsoever, made the biggest red on their staff the Everton correspondent, and wrote an article about how 11th was our natural position. Paper run by kopites for kopites.

Maybe it was because Ashley is an utter blert and is renowned to know sweet FA about football and appoints idiots into senior positions at the club who approach these players mate.

Joe Kinnear was gonna sign top talent wasn't he...

Witses agent never said anything of the sort btw, he is represented by Mondial one of the largest agencies in football, and any agent working for those that said that about a club in the premier league would be fired instantly by them

which is why they look to all intents and purposes to have been completely cut off by the new owner

If that proves your point, I'd say it proves my point. That a lot of our fans are far too paranoid. Look,at the post above your last one. One of the main men at the Echo is a bitter Newcastle fan
The article in question doesn't compare us to Newcastle at all. I'm sick of all the conspiracy theories and paranoia. We don't come out of it well.

So because we're trying to do things on the quiet, which is how it should be done, Mosh has cut the Echo off for their pro red bias. Ok mate, you carry on believing that. Jeez

I don't click on Echo links three dicks so I'm going off what people are saying.

And printed on Andrex at their Analfield print press. Honestly, I travel all over Britain and believe me, the RS are probably THE most hated team ever and not as the pondlife across the park think as being 'everybody's second favourite team'.
Coprophilliacs describes them precisely. except it screams out to be spelt with a capital 'K'.

I just don't like the local media writing what is a largely assumption baseless article casting us in a negative light. They've no idea what might happen this summer. If Witsel Mata join and Lukaku stays how is that big players knocking is back? How is their a perception problem when a highly rated manager swapped European football at Southampton for Everton? An utterly pointless article that is not required in the current positive atmosphere around Everton at the moment. I expect a supportive local media and find stuff like this annoying. Does that make me paranoid? No. Paranoia would be if it was widely regarded that the echo reported fairly and balanced on both teams. The majority of blues would say that's not the case. That's not paranoia, it's just a fact.

Cheers for responding btw, you never did respond and give your opinion on what you thought of the Liverpool fans who Barnes stated gave him torrents of racist abuse when he played for Watford btw? Strange that...

Or burnt Gerrards shirt when Cheatski were trying, yes trying, not a done deal by any stretch, to buy him.
