When he firs come I despised him as he was replacing my hero, as they were two different types of centre forward Big Joe ran his heart out, Bob was a laid back goal poacher, but big Bob was a natural Johnny of the spot prolific scorer, he was a fantastic no 9 for the blues in a team that unluckily won nothing in the Gordon Lee era!

My first season going to the match coincided with his 30 goal haul (77-78) so I was fortunate to see him at his imposing best.

...I liked Bob, he was excellent at converting chances but many on here would be unhappy with him because he didn't run around much.

I remember him scoring at the St End first game back after he moved to Swansea.

If memory serves it was a far post toe poke after a corner. He just stood with both arms aloft as everyone cheered.

I just missed out on seeing him but my dad loved him. Tell us about him blues......

My absolute hero growing up. I remember getting on the pitch when he scored the pen against Chelsea for his 30th goal.

My Mum and Dad were in the Main Stand and saw me running round like a loon.

I wasn't allowed out for a week after that. Worth EVERY minute though.

My second ever game that was superb. My first hero too!

Which reminds me - remember being about 8 when I was left home alone while dad out at work and mum at the shops one day ringing every R.Latchford in the phone book asking if Bob was in. Godknows what I would have said if it was him. ( never occured to me people could be ex directory)
Got a few clear offs and think you have the wrong number son replies. Was disappointed. Was just about to try A.King's when my mum came back. Remember also looking for G Nulty's to tell him he was crap but there was none!
