Is it just me that thinks all this 'he looks like a Russian gangster' is cringeworthy?

He doesn't look dodgy, or like a crook or a psycho at all!! He's a normal business man ffs.

I agree comrade.

He hasn't got an ultra sophisticated nano gun hiding behind that tie either.

And the pen he carries around with him at all times has got no traces of polonium in it.

I have taken your IP and personal details for future collaboration my friend.

Will Farhad become chairman as soon as he goes to 50.1% shareholder or is it a position that needs officially alleviating then reassigning? Never really understood how chairmans work.
Chairman is appointed by the board and does not even have to be a shareholder. Forget the 50.1%. Around 25% is held by supporters, many of whom can't be traced apparently. He owns by far the majority on the board and is the main man full stop. Why is everybody so keen to get rid of Bill? He did a great job with no money and got us into a virtually debt free position and then got the buyer. I know he was unable to get the new stadium we all wanted but so what? He tried hard whilst we were skint. Because we failed to win something and get everything we want he gets slagged off. I think he did a great job under the circumstances.
He should be allowed to enjoy what is coming because he eventually got us there.

I never said I was rushing to get in I was merely asking how majority shareholders and chairmans work. Was a simple question.

refreshing to hear what a real business man sounds like, looking forward to Moshiri and Ryazantsev bin off suntan bob and any other charlatens....

Of course mate but it's more fun for everyone to think he is ex-KGB and personally twisted Raiola's left nut to force him into reneging on an agreement for Lukaku to move to PSG

Jesus wept.

Elstone has done a tosh job but he's still been a decent level achiever at Deloitte, and Kenwright is a notoriously ruthless multi millionaire theatre company owner. I could also suggest that as Bill has made many, many millions on his initial investment in EFC while getting to run the club he purports to support he's probably a proper businessman himself, albeit one that preoccupied himself with the maintenance of his own position beyond the development of the club.

Moshiri is no doubt an extremely shrewd mind but let us not forgot he benefitted from a monster largesse from the Usmanov funds... which in turn came from backing the right horse in the aftermath of the Iron Curtain coming down.

I'd argue what we are seeing here is NOT a difference is businessman calibre as such but two parties with different levels of resourcing and utterly different motivations. Fortunately this new group seem to be motivated by the same goals which enthrall an entire fanbase

So lets all disregard poor business decisions from the club. Kitbag (Elstone sings its praises), 2 ground moves. The board must take accountability. That Park end building. No idea what that was all about. Chang being a small sponsor in the grand scheme of the premiership.

Sorry. Was not directed at you particularly

I doubt the big sponsors thought much of our profile. We have never had much of one since the Prem. Things are changing though.

Lashed 6m a year on a new manager, Big deal

Lets see how much is spent and how the stadium progresses
Made him one of the top earning managers in the world, went out and got the man he wanted ( even though the media etc said he had no chance, I understand the need to be cautious, but at last we can be optomistic
