How quickly things change, people on here are actually debating how we might get around FFP, this place is morphing into RAWK.

This place will never be RAWK because it is not full of deluded halfwit Redtripe.

Much better to be debating cunning ways to get around FFP than selling copies of the Big Issue to fund a new ground - but I'm sure there are much greater and better informed minds than ours now looking at this - so I doubt it is something that we need to lose too much sleep over.

Cumulative losses are examined over rolling 3 year periods (£105 million over three years). Cost control measures (no increase in salaries above £7 million without a corresponding increase in non broadcasting revenues) is annual.

Director appointments are more to do with group financing - stadium, commercial sponsorship - player trading and cost control regulations are relatively simple to manage.

Am i correct in assuming that any players loaned out by us, the loan fees will be included as a positive in our player trading foigures and their wages will be removed from our current total for these purposes?

Additionally IF say we looan a player in - and instead of paying a fee of say 2m and paying his wages of say 4m a year, we instead opted to pay a 6m loan fee with his wages being paid by his parent club (same overall financials for them) then this would in a way allow a club to bend around those premiership limits a little?

If as i believ it may be, then we could see a fair bit of loaning this season with set options to buy under those conditions...

2012/13 wage bill was £63 million
2014/15 (last figures available) £77 million

Assuming 2015/16 was higher than 2014/15, we would use the 2015/16 figure plus £7 million.

Thanks for that. I would imagine 15/16 would be slightly higher so yeah it would be the 7mil I would think.

Whilst possible mate, why would another club disadvantage itself to advantage us?

to get a deal over the line mate, eepecially if the parent club isn't struggling with FFP rules themselves, other than that - a slightly higher overall payment would sweeten the deal no doubt

Also the cash up front rather than in the form of the parent club 'saving' on wages, allows the money to be reinvested into the squad straight away, not saying it's something that will happen, but can see the advantage from both sides of agreements like that in 'certain' situations

quick question to you mate, at what exact point is the calculation done re FFP rules in the premiership, as in is their a set date, as if their is it can obviously be maneuvered around, I was taking it that it is the end of the transfer window but thinking about that - it could easily be manipulated by clubs or is it something that is constantly evaluated and should a club ever breach it during the course of a season then they will suffer the penalties?

It depends if Lukaku / Stones stay. If they do, spending more than £50 million would be idiocy because we aren't that far from having a genuinely boss side and have loads of young players coming through.

Good job we're not in the champions league then isn't it mate

Our starting 11 lacks quality in certain areas, nevermind the squad.

We have no natural left winger and no natural number 8 in the entire squad, could even be very unkind and suggest the GK is lacking somewhat as well.

thank you we need new CB even with stones go get someone like van dijk and have mori / jags backup

GK new number one left winger and need a few more strikers
