We could in theory buy over 100 mil worth of players and not have adverse effects of FFP then?

surely if we spend alot we could balance the books by sponsorship;/rev player sales etc//

also isn't ffp over 3 years? surely we would be in europe by then and have increased income

isn't that why we looking to appoint people on financial side eg BP man and Dein etc? @The Esk or am i guessing in the dark here

Cumulative losses are examined over rolling 3 year periods (£105 million over three years). Cost control measures (no increase in salaries above £7 million without a corresponding increase in non broadcasting revenues) is annual.

Director appointments are more to do with group financing - stadium, commercial sponsorship - player trading and cost control regulations are relatively simple to manage.

Not really a fan of how it's set out...as I'm a sucker for a pie chart ;)
...But these are the financial rules for the coming season.

I wonder what the difference in the wage bill is between last season and the 12/13 season. If it is not much different then we could take the 19mil increase from the 12/13 season.

Could Moshiri just add his own companies as sponsors to increase revenue though. Isn't that pretty much what Man City do.

I personally think 100 mil is low balling and we will spend more, not got any info to back that up but got a feeling moshiri wont even be spending most of his money as he is backed solidly by investors eg able to get 0 interest loans etc i guess how that will play into stadium

It depends if Lukaku / Stones stay. If they do, spending more than £50 million would be idiocy because we aren't that far from having a genuinely boss side and have loads of young players coming through.

Probably better directing these questions at the @The Esk mate ;)....as I'm currently busy dusting off my abacus!

Hmm, @The Esk I wonder if Moshiri could just put some money into the club via a personal sponsorship deal to only increase our revenue. Would it be against the PL FFP rules to then spend these extra money for extra wages?

That's possible mate but it would need to be seen as being genuine sponsorship not just injecting money for the sake of it. I doubt he'll go down this route.

How quickly things change, people on here are actually debating how we might get around FFP, this place is morphing into RAWK.

2012/13 wage bill was £63 million
2014/15 (last figures available) £77 million

Assuming 2015/16 was higher than 2014/15, we would use the 2015/16 figure plus £7 million.
