Hi Mate, is it still the aim of the club to go down the DoF route? Have conversations with management candidates changed this in anyway shape or form?

I don't know mate, there's nothing coming from my major contact and all the other bits I'm hearing aren't really standing up, which to me is fine as I'm assuming they're just getting on with the job of getting RK and DoF in place.

I think if Monchi and possibly Overmars aren't available I can't see us hiring one this summer. We wouldn't just rush into it if the right candidate wasn't available now.

I found a list of all the DoF's/Sporting Directors in Europe and there is some cracking names out there both in and out of work.

I don't know what that person would be doing at the club how the club will define the role so no idea who they will go for. Only know Monchi and Overmars been contacted other then them its finger in the air and see what sticks!

Does Koeman prefer to work with one anyway? I know he has and did at Saints but some managers hate it. Might not even be his preference.

Expect RK to be officially appointed within the next two days now that he's finally back from holiday.
Unfortunately it's highly unlikely Monchi will come aswell. It looks like he's not following Emmery to PSG and if he won't leave Sevilla for them he's hardly gonna leave for us. Couldn't see him working well with RK anyway. Monchi, like Emmery, is a workaholic and perfectionist and he just wouldn't respect the 'family first' ethic of RK.

Possibly the most irrelevant of replies to my question I'll likely get today. I asked if Koeman prefers working with a DoF or not I couldn't care less about his holidays.
