Not surprised about the aerial thing. We have an absolutely tiny team, reason why Funes Mori is so important as he gives us some much needed height.
I wouldn't really call Funes Mori tall at 6'1" he's just really good at jumping.

I wouldnt even say hes good at defensive headers.
The amount of crosses into the box that led to goals was insane.
Cant ALL be down to Martinez, unless he coached them to avoid heading the ball EVER.

We may see a future for Garbutt. Who has a bloody good cross on him. We could get Felli back! This is definitely something we have to consider. Unfortunately I don't have relevant data for his Feyenoord days. He is a pragmatist and tellingly said "the best way to play depends on the players you have" and he shifts his system accordingly.
That being said what I do pick up is how much he likes a target man. He signed Pelle from Feyenoord who he used there to great affect. Likewise Long and Austin fit that profile. I am not sure he will shift too far from that.
I think we will be similar to Royle's Everton side that utilised Andy Hincliffe's crossing ability, a solid defense and quite a high pressure game. I suppose what I have tried to do with the comparisons (especially around possession) is show that this can evolve from what we have. I don't expect us to be like Stoke (were) or West Brom but I think we will be less dogmatic with possession.
Overall I think all of these changes will be welcomed by the fanbase. Particularly at Goodison Evertonians do want to see a bit more tempo.
That would surprise a few people if we signed Delaney, Dann, Fellaiani and Benteke with our 100m.
I'm all for it. Blend in a bit of physical presence.would be much more efficent tho

Think FM could be taught by Koeman to defend crosses better to be fair. Reckon he'll be good under him.
I wouldn't say it was impossible. They don't seem to rate him so it wouldn't surprise me if they moved him on.I think Benteke would do very well under Koeman, but that is one transfer that will never happen.
Great post Catcher I think whoscored is a really useful site to look at for things like this; can be unappreciated. I think the main thing to consider is that as Koeman appears to be tactically astute so he will play to the strengths of the players at his disposal. I think the Lennon's will struggle because he definitely likes wingers with end product (who doesn't) but I think Ross is fine and the formation will find a place for him. I'm hoping now Martinez has gone though Koeman might come in and think "you know what, 4-2-3-1 doesn't work for these players let's try this" and we find the round holes befitting of our round pegs.
It's exciting times and pre-season will be a great watch.
