Given how The Echo's acted over announcing the compensation agreement, retracting their announcement until confirmed by the club, it makes me think that this story has some legs. Which gets me thinking.

Why would we announce this so publicly?

Because we want players to know that we mean business.

The timing of this announcement fills me with hope that it might be laying the groundwork for Monchi to come in and get to work.
