It has started , but as usual the media are missing the point.

It seems to me that quite a lot of the general football following public are either unaware or only vaguely aware of Moshiris acquisition.

It did not receive a huge amount of media attention, probably as it was not (correctly) perceived as a gamechanger which would potentially impact the wider league.

This, as others have said, is about Everton getting their own house in order. We can't expect a clap on the back and immediate increased attention for doing things we should have done years ago.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the reaction from outside Everton circles to Koeman's appointment - you know you're doing something right when people react with at best a grudging respect, or at the opposite end, insults and jeers. Plenty of people with no axe to grind against Everton have said it is a bold, unexpected appointment.

We have always had our own expectations and NSNO - we can concentrate as Moshiri is doing on getting on with the business needed to improve, on and off the pitch.

Ultimately if that is good enough, it will be reflected in results and performances, and hopefully silverware. We will get credit where and when it is due.
Alot of non Evertonians and some Evertonians still think Bills in charge and he had 50.1% of the shares which has bern stated isnt true

I think @blueblue has absolutely nailed this post. If you listen to Kopites they are the absolute height of ignorance while the media seem unaware of the changes that have already happened. Unfortunately it has meant certain blues are also underplaying what his intentions are.

He hasn't done what most wealthy owners do and look to make a huge point and brief the press on it. It's not bad thing for us as it means we can go under the radar for longer (which will be of benefit) and I think it shows a more professional approach. When City's owners first arrived they brought in Robinho who turned out a complete flop but they obviously wanted to make a statement. They gave the press what they wanted, which was column inches and a new exciting story.

I don't think Moshiri will operate in that way and I don't think Everton fans would want him too. What we do will be understated but by the end of the summer the more astute journalists will start to be aware of what's going on. This may well lead to bitterness and anger as much as respect and admiration by the way.

It's fascinating watching the Koeman acquisition. None of them can really understand it. They all seem a bit baffled as to why a guy has left a side who were 6th for a side who were 11th. Nobody is asking "well why is it that Koeman has gone back on his promises?" and perhaps considering that maybe what he was being offered at Everton goes far beyond anything a side like Southampton can give him. Instead the chorus of Judas and insinuation of greed will be presented with Koeman presented as a greedy selfish individual.

The money doesn't explain it, 6 million pounds (which is reported by the same press) I suspect will be a little high, certainly as a basic maybe he has so with bonuses. He could get that and more at Arsenal or Barca who were both very interested in him. That's not to say the money isn't nice but there is more to it than that. You can surmise this by the fact Emery was willing to speak to us, Mourinho's people met us, De Boer was pleading for the job and Moyes was turning down about every opportunity he had for a chance of an interview.

There is clearly more going on behind the scenes. They have tightened up on leaks and the press aren't privy to a lot of it and even if they were I doubt they'd report it as it's not "clickbait" in the same way City were when they bought Robinho, put "welcome to Manchester" signs up fro Tevez etc. Our acquisition will be done in a quiet professional manner as Moores did beforehand.

The posts from ITK people that there is more ambition/support/money available than even the most optimistic of fans are making out seems about spot on. How that's the case I'm not sure. Moshiri runs his personal affairs how he is running Everton, in a professional, dignified and ultimately quite guarded way. It could well be the estimate of 1.9 billion personal fortune (already acknowledged to be very cautious and low) as way out. It could be that others are coming on board or may be financing things behind closed doors or that someone like Usmanov may be poised to move. However it's very clear there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

Great post catcher......................your Usmanov observation is extremely pertinent. I understood that when he clashed with the American interests on the Arsenal board he was considering doing what Moshiri has done, taking over here. Both are commercial allies hence it is not impossible that we may expand far more quickly than any reasonable Blue would expect. What I don't want to see is us turning into Chelsea blerts we are the original, one and only BLUES, lets show dignity and respect unless its to the seething Rancid's over the park.

...the appointment of a rich new owner doesn't put us back on top of the tree, consistently good results and league positions do.

It is a start and one hell of a lot better than carrying on as we were from last season with no Moshiri.

How can we have a pop at the media for failing to pay attention when half of our fanbase are just as negative lol Im happy to be proven wrong and sneak under the radar MOSHIRI ASSASINS is what we are, all hail our Iranian Overlord.

We are also the original "Millionaires". But great article there. I raised the point about Usmanov possibly coming in but was shot down by The Esk maintaining that procedures were in place for Mshiri to got all the shares. However what if Moshiri got them then sold half to Usmanov?

Mosh the Dosh is nowhere near as rich as Usmanov and he yearns for full control at Arsenal which he won't get. FA rules would, I think, stop him from investing here because of his Arsenal holding and involvement but buddies are buddies, if he has a tantrum with the Gooners board, and he has in the past, who knows. The Esk is an honest guy but mega millionaires aren't

Who cares what the media think? The fools very rarely get anything right anyway. They have their favourite's and always will. Looking at some of the fool's currently working in the media I'd rather not be backed them anyway.

The return to the top table of English football has already started to happen but it seems to be slipping below the media radar.

The sacking of one manager and the appointment of his replacement costing in the order of 10m pounds is the kind of money that is only talked about when wealthy clubs are mentioned.

The new appointee being a manager which it was almost universally agreed was not going to happen as Everton were not attractive enough to tempt him from his present club and anyway his name was being mentioned with an Arsenal vacancy at some future stage....probably still will be.

The chase (hopefully successful) of an extremely high powered director of football in Monchi . This may or may not be successful but it shows a level of think unimaginable just a few years ago.

The new stadium has again become a live issue, this time there is a feeling it will be delivered and this time addresses are being mentioned that for so long were the stuff of dreams rather than reality.

I think that one or both of Lukaku and Stones will leave. I think the moves are probably more about money than ambition ...for the agents at least. I think we will spend a shed load of money but all the media will see will be the sales rather than the new arrivals.

I wonder when the odds for winning the premiership next season come out where Everton will stand.
I suppose the answer is a trophy and that probably would be a good answer, but the signs are there and they are being missed.
Martinez was correct in saying players move and if they do the exciting thing is finding the replacement. Looking at Southampton over the last couple of years I am not too bothered who goes. Remember what we did post Rooney. A team is more than any single part.

Talking to a rancid today. He knew nothing about Moshiri and looked worried when I explained the ambition backed by cash we now have. He was already non too happy with the new manager
