Technically Moshiri sold his shares in Red and White Holdings, not his Arsenal shares mate. I haven't looked to see if the company held any other assets (unlikely to be honest).

In companies with a small number of shares and those shares are tightly held by a small number of people it's common for a large block of shares to go at a premium to the market price.

I cannot think of an ulterior motive. The fact though that Usmanov appears to have paid a premium for the shares brings into further question his desire (as expressed by some) to dispose of these shares later this year.
R&W is a Jersey co isn't it?
If it is then no accounts filed and even if they were, they wouldn't show proceeds/profit on disposal surely.
Personal transaction with no public record I would imagine.

I think we will end up with a choice of candidates who also have a choice. Not trying to be obtuse, but the people we are going after will have other options. Down to Moshiri to prove his worth and convince them. Initial indications are favourable.

Okay mate I will start the game....

Does he have hair ?

Tell that to the guy who had to dress up in a giant, hairy ball sack, parade around in front of 40,000 onlookers and respond to the name 'Mr. Testicles'.

I have nicknamed my bits n bobs with a lot worse....

Shortlist of nine candidates:

Pellegrini, Mourinho, Koeman, De Boer, Hughes, Howe, Emery, Moyes and Lucien Favre :coffee:

@The Esk ?

Playing devils advocate here. Why would Usmanov pay his mate over the market value for those shares, if it was a genuine dissolving of their collaboration? Surely, what at face value appears to be a 30% premium, is way beyond what would be deemed reasonable in that circumstance?

Couple of caveats - firstly the £200 million was a "reported" figure there's no proof that the figure is accurate and secondly below is just conjecture

As mentioned earlier large blocks of shares can command a premium particularly when the buyer is an existing long term holder. Alternatively there may have been competition for the shares - it's possible that a third party could have bid for the shares.

Emery, Pellegrini, Koeman, de Boer, Favre and Moyes (Bill insists?).

6 candidates to have interviews?
