Thinking about it today, we haven't really had a proper interview from Moshiri yet with regards to his plans moving forward or even just a general introduction to the fans really.

His introduction was that message in the programme. He doesn't strike me as a Kenwright type of owner who loves the limelight, I think he's more likely to just get on with stuff in the background.

Old saying 'actions speak louder than words', we've for too long had someone who believed the opposite really in charge

We are going to do to Liverpool what the Iranians did to the Americans in the Iranian revolution. We will show them Kopites and thier decadent owners.

Sorry mate, this an incorrect assumption on who from the club contacted them and the response.

I won't go into details, however let me assure you that the approach was 100% professionally handled, well received by Gazprom, but as stated with all their other interests and sponsorship deals, at that time another sponsorship deal was not envisaged as necessary for them.

The approach was not dismissed out of hand and/or laughed at.

2 years ago (ish) Gazprom had their Prime Broker relationships cut so their main priority was doing business via their UK entity and not Russia. Theor priority was to build more of these relationships outside of the banks and it was well known at the time they were coming cap in hand to loads of brokerages.

I would guess that a sponsorship deal at that time or any new business would have been unlikely aa without credit lines they would need to place hard cash with brokerages for margin.

Nonsense.

Since 1992, there have only been a few years which have seen an aggregate pre-tax profit across the premier league.

I'm not saying it's not possible to be profitable and run well, but it's very easy to lose money, especially when you consider that very expensive commodities (i.e. players) can turn out to be flops, resulting in huge outgoings for little or no return on investment.

It's not about annual profit. It's about long term profit.

With the right investment, Moshiri could sell up for over 1 billion, within 10 years.

The Prem is a goldmine. Any clubs with good infrastucture and Prem status are set to be sat on one of the biggest sporting goldmines the world has ever seen.

Watch Mosh sell us in 10-20 years for a gigantic profit.....

All the contact was made with their Central Europe division headquarters in Zurich.

Yep. The profit in owning a sports team (any professional sports team) is not yearly profits. Even profitable clubs 'profits' are tiny on the scale of business and are generally meaningless to a billionaire's portfolio. Far better investments exist when looking at year-on profits. But the insane valuation growth of clubs is where the benefits of sports ownership lie.

thanks for the welcome m8. He was given the shares and then sold them back!!!! they have never worked apart!!!! buy selling his shares to ursmanov it makes him in a better position to get more cash when selling them!!! trust me
I'm in that camp. Was easier for Moshiri to get out and grab Everton than it was for Usmanov too. Now Usmanov has the time to get out of Arsenal...

Iv said it all along.
