If you yourself was worth 1 billion and wasn't a born Evertonian your telling me you would pledge 100 million transfer kitty plus a new ground at 300-500 million!!! not a chance unless he's lost his mind. He's a business man at the end of the day and there is no way he would pledge that amount of capital

Think we will see new investor's on board in 2017.

Theres various funding models he can consider.

Stop being so one dimensional.

good point!! at least its all good talk and not bad talk!!! but I've got a little bit of inside info and I am confident in my source

Why would he act as a go-between?

He doesn't need to pledge that amount of capital.

We've got £150 million coming in (annually) from the next tv deal.

We're not a charity case, a hard nosed businessman with a bit of clout is what we've been missing.

Its all related to asset value and ergo Everton share value.

He can also recoup some of the stadium costs later by equity issues and the like.

People are only looking at Moshiri's personal net worth. Adding 2+2 together without looking at the reality that he will front some of the initial outlay and recoup more than the outlay as the EFC sharevalue increases. That he is funding the increase in. Thats his obvious plan.

You can throw hundreds of millions at it and you may be outspent by your rivals, very few make long term profits.

Nonsense.

I'm no business guru like, but it's pretty obvious following the trend of the Premier League, that if anybody invests, and creates a legacy, through infrastructure and sustained Premier League status, that they're sitting on a long term gold mine.

bet me then!!!

What has changed things is the FFP and premier league rules put relative breaks on collective player wages. That improves the profitability of running football clubs. Relatively to 4 or 5 years ago.

Hence clubs like Everton appear good investments for putting liquidity into that would otherwise potentially be taxed

Ok I appreciate this but where do we stand on , theoretically , spending £250M on a new waterfront stadium ?

I don't know.

One would have to weigh up the capex cost versus added revenues plus value added to the club and recouped share value to offset that money.

Plus any enablers.

ie complicated.

But more do- able than the Kenwright years...

I think FFP is $60m loss max, so with Moshiri's expertise, I think we can do it whichever way.
