Why arent others who are leaving getting the same treatment? Its like hes been some kind of hero...

So weird.

Sad to see it end in the manner that it did, but it's nice to see the club give him a proper farewell.

Time will tell if Howard is remembered as one of the Everton greats. On his day he was decent for us.

Admitidly, I've never been his biggest fan as I thought we could do better - but in hindsight he was solid for us for a good number of years.

Rarity to have such a solid selection for that number one spot, and we've struggled to replace him.

Finished now though.

I'm not going to pretend that he was the best, but he wore the shirt with pride.

Shame that it ended the way it did.

However, time to move on!

Have been a fierce critic of TH, largely as a result of (probably unfairly) him being unable to meet the standards of Big Nev.

That said, I hope he keeps a clean sheet today, the team win and he gets a decent send-off.

Rightly or wrongly, he has been here ten years and deserves some measure of respect... And hopefully upon his return to the US, he will help spread the word about and promote Everton to his countrymen.

Phil Thompson, the ex-Red, nailed it for me when he said that the first and biggest RM mistake was
not dropping Tim 18 months ago.

Mistake after mistake, cock ups that veteran players in Pub Leagues would not have tolerated yet he was still
selected. Even when Robles came in and kept clean sheets ( note to RM: it means letting in no goals) last season
he still selected Tim at the first chance.

We only got to the cup semi-finals because the Star Jumper was not playing.. how come RM did not see the coincidence?
