Why there is a demand for change and the reasons to be optimistic for the future

if the rumours are true of the massive reduction in season ticket sales looks like Moshiri is starting to reap the benefits of his inactivity, for the average punter looking from the outside it looks like we are happy to accept being a "third tier" premier league outfit. 40 points the only target next year
If these rumours are true, i would posit the reason is people are holding on to see if and when a managerial change is made.

Great starting post, Esk. Well done.

Patience will be required to see us through the last couple of very bad seasons for which there can be no excuse.

What do reckon you would happen to season ticket sales if a decent, well known and respected manager was appointed about 10 minutes after the Norwich match?

Is this likely to happen though? As a previous poster said, 3 decades of disappointment tends to make us think probably not. I know The Esk says things are happening, let's hope he's right.

Excellent article Esk,the one thing that strikes me about the potential opportunity that Leicester now have given the rest of the league is that we were actually "Leicester"during Moyes tenure, however the best we attained was fourth and a Cup Final,we persevered with Moyes for eleven years, eleven wasted years imho, let us hope this summer truly is(after the great promise of Martinez's first season) the dawning of a brave, new, exciting era for us.

Excellent stuff @The Esk

I cannot wait to see Everton start functioning as a proper, successful business that essentially then feeds into the club's on-field development, rather than hoping to buy low sell to an idiot high season after season.

Where would be now if it not for the grossly over-inflated fees of Fellaini and Lescott?

deluded

Agree, excellent post The Esk. Unfortunately, or fortunately in our case, the one thing that changes a Football club in the 21st Century is money. Where were Chelsea and Man City before they were bought over by mega billionaires? The Leicester City story this year has been fantastic, but make no mistake, it will be a one off, by the time the big boys cream off the best of Leicesters talent this summer. Hopefully we have a shareholder who won't let that happen to our talent.

it continues to be the worst takeover ever, nothing has changed in fact we have gone backwards, no one seems to be taking control, the ever familiar lack of communication remains the same, not one positive message from the club to indicate any hope, and they sit by and watch Martinez use a few under 21 players on Saturday to act as his own personal human shield in the hope everyone wont protest too loudly, another 5 games on the end of this season and we would have been relegated....We continue to be an absolute joke.

OK MATE

I had a heart attack then, I thought I took Davek off ignore. Phew.

@The Esk, just tell us on that Simeone is on his way and we'll all be as optimistic as you'd like.
Until the man who's never done anything great is at our helm, there's a limit to how optimistic I can be.
