I am not convinced that RM will be leaving at all. Bill Kenwright is very loyal to his managers and may see two cup semi finals as progress.
The key question is if Moshiri agrees with him or at least is prepared to back his judgement.
Was there a lot of visible unrest against RM before , during or after the game at Wembley on Saturday ?
Forums such as this are not good barometers about what is likely to happen.
However, I do think that RM owes the fanbase some honesty if it is decided that he is to stay.
Yes, he can point out the positives about the young players in the academy and in the first team squad.
But, he needs to talk honestly about the scandalous performances on occasions and the continuing inability to defend or protect a lead.
Supporters are not stupid... at least not all of them, if a reasoned explanation is given it will be considered.
But, don't make it seem as if we are on the verge of something great when clearly we are not.
Why, are we leaking goals like a sieve ? Is it because players are not doing their job, are not working hard enough or is there a flaw in the layout of the team.
Do we have the correct coaching staff at the club, should changes be made and a defensive coach brought in ?
Are certain players not putting in the effort needed. Why was Tim Howard left in the team for so long , when clearly he wasn't good enough while Robles was left sit on the bench although it is crystal clear now that he is the better keeper.
Maybe , you will be staying Roberto and I will accept that, but to quote a line from a film called "Missouri breaks" don't pis down my back and tell me it is raining, give us some real reasons why you should be allowed to stay.
I understand the manager won't talk about individual players, but this has been a very very poor season and it needs to be explained or else leave.
