Spain tend to not gom outside of Spanish for their top job though so think thats an unlikely job for him, as for Valencia - one would hope we have the edge in owners their as they seem to have a 'character' in charge

Yeh I agree, though I think that with Pel having managed Real, Villarreal and Malaga, that may not be as much of an issue.

We'll wait and see, I suppose.

I'm assuming Esk he's been approached by Everton and likes what he sees but as mentioned it's not cut and dried due to him having various offers on the table.

Do you have a hunch yourself who you think we will end up with out of the 4 that have been mentioned on here.

Re hunch mate, no idea.

4 then if you include Spain ;)

Weirdest rumour was the latest United had offered him the chance as well, as Charlton/ Ferguson on the board really didn't want Mourinho

Part of the stand renaming charm offensive may have been to bring them onside for it.

On an unrelated note, you can see why there are now also rumours that Van Gaal will stay - that group of youngsters up front they have now only needs one experienced players in there to be really decent

Hey Mac, just for clarity... who apart from Manuel Pellegrini are the other three strongest rumoured candidates?

It makes no sense leaving him in for the remaining four games then getting him out. Do it now and save all the grief.
This on toast. Why on earth have the club not made the move already I don't know. A bit of forward planning surely dictates that:

a) we lose the semi and appoint an internal promotion to temporary caretaker: either Unsworth or Sheedy with Royle overseeing them;

or b) win the semi and offer Jose the chance to win the FA cup before going to Man U

Sitting here doing nothing at this point just makes a loss against Bournemouth more likely.

Well could we attract anyone better than pelligrini? Managed real (but so did Ramos who was a joke at Tottenham). At City he has done ok nothing more in his tenure there. In his 3 seasons there, he has had the strongest squad on paper in 2 of the seasons (Chelsea's squad was better last season). The announcement of pep taking over was made when they were 3 points off the top. Showed commendable dignity in this episode (something we at Everton expect of our managers). I wouldn't be too disappointed with his appointment, at least he has numerous trophies on his CV and I guess wouldn't have to move house (if he likes living in Manchester) if such things matter these days.
