There are a LOT of good CM's/CDM's out there, we should really be looking for real quality in our engine room

Definitely.

We play (or attempt to play...) a possession game.

Being kind, he is 'limited' in possession. Off the ball, he doesn't do enough. Nowhere near enough.

Last season and this he has been Tobias Linderoth v2.

Being kind - anonymous.

Being from Kirkby - a sulking, anonymous, bottler.

We played with 10 men again today with him.

I've hit my limit with him. Well and truly had enough.

First time i've ever been mentioned by the 'GrandOldTeam' what a moment, but i totally agree - will be interesting to see if he gets a new lease of life under a new manager or if he's replaced. either way change has to happen!

I'm thinking Stones could do this role far better and really drive us forward. We need a leader.

Which, in the second half, where they abandoned the stupid tactics and tedium of this season, is exactly what happened. Gibbo dropped deeper, Stones moved up into the midfield and they just went without McCarthy. Lo and behold, we improved massively.

JM was poor today, very poor. And overall this season he has been way below what is reasonably expected of a player so much younger than say Gareth Barry.

Beginning to look very much as though both he and the manager were one season merchants.
