Well I may come and stay in here for the night. Not going out. No friends.

Echo what others are saying. Not blaming him for tonight, but at the same time today he made mistakes and for me the performance/ outcome was irrelevant to his future. He should have been gone before tonight. Now it's done though, I'll be dismayed if he's still here Monday morning. Just do the right thing Berto.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez: "It is a hard result to take. Over the 90 minutes we at least deserved the right to go into extra time. We were a little sluggish in the first half but we got the equaliser but to concede in injury time is a blow nobody deserved.

"I thought the fight we showed was really strong, a team with incredible togetherness. The support we had behind us was terrific. We coped with the tough period in the first half and we were strong mentality to cope.

"The longer the game went on, the bigger chance we had. The game was going our way, the chances were coming and I felt we were the stronger team. It is tough to lose a semi-final because the feeling is a very undeserved feeling. If you are going to lose a tie that is the way you lose it, creating chances and in the second half we were the better side.

"There was no comparison between today and Anfield. Everything that goes wrong can go wrong but today was the opposite. We reacted with an incredible fight and togetherness. The performance was a typical Everton response."

I think if he absoloutly smashed the RS out the park on Wednesday, destroyed UTD next week we'd all be a lot happier. The reality is he is likely to lose both and say how 'incredibly' well his players performed. The hope is he can beat at least one of the them and salvage some grace for his next role. As it stands his stock is 'incredibly' low.
;)

Seriously, sacking him now would be the merciful dignified thing to do. The reception next home game will be toxic. That will be just ugly and won't help anyone.

Yep, the game today has showed the players were perfectly able to raise their game and reflects how they just weren't interested in the league for the past month. That's down to Roberto losing them. No doubt we'll return to spineless football again next week. If we let it run til the end of the season, we're just setting players up for more hostility from fans, and encouraging top players to leave us over the summer. Even if it's an announcement he's leaving, or a caretaker in charge, something has got to happen before the next training session.

That match illustrates perfectly why we need to get rid of Martinez now, we played a Martinez first half were we passed the ball backwards and invited Its unto us, no pressure on the ball or man in procession. In the second half we have a go because we have nothing to lose and we look like a team. Sack him tonight.
