We've nothing to play for in the league since January. They know it and are all thinking of the summer.

They'll probably put a shift in for the cup game as its something. But due to the manager, it won't be enough.

Hopefully they wont wanna leave when they see the new manager. Plus he will get them fitter and playing as a proper team (you know, one with balance, strategy, flexibility etc etc)

I think he might be gone in the morning to be honest. Or if we lose the semi it'll be like the situation with Ronnie Deliah at Celtic, announced that he's leaving at the end of the season

My dad stopped watching early on and said this is the worst and most dejected performance he's ever seen/heard from us... and he's been a fan since the 80s.

It tells you something though doesn't it? All the arl ones are saying this is bad, not the "NeW WaVe Of UnDeR 30'S" (@chicoazul ), that's a real low ffs... No fight, no morale, no desire to even play, and that's against the RS!

Young and old, I don't know anyone tonight that watched the game and didnt rank it amongst the most dismal Everton efforts they'd witnessed. I'd been worried it could get rough but still harboured a false hope - but that was everything and then some. Our players gave up the fight, and then the manager joined them with his subs. A real sickener.

The silence during the Besic sub spoke louder than anything, to say in a very clichéd way.

I just don't get it. This is supposed to be the one game where form gets thrown out of the window and you just play your heart out - against the local rivals. Even in the dire Moyes years (yes, and even that slippery rat scoring 3) we still looked like we can score - we had shots, we looked threatening - and when we defended it was organised and mean, proper "get either the ball or the man" defending, where nothing (on theory) gets through. Obviously that also failed on numerous occasions, but "Mr. Dour Football" Moyes still at least had a plan to win, and riled up all the players to go out play, and give absolutely nothing but their best!
