The Semi Final Referee

I sense the same, however if my logic was applied, he would be pro Everton?

Well then how is that fair on Man United then if a referee has a personal interest in one of the teams? Not arsed about them but I was talking more in general of it not being right to have a local referee refereeing a local team.

The ref is either going to favour the local team (work against us), or favour the opposition (work for us). Why are the FA letting that situation happen in such an important game.

It's not difficult, choose one of the 15 other refs who isn't born within 5 miles of one of the Semi Final teams.

I think it's a disgrace. Fail to see how he could be impartial. But again our fans won't kick up a fuss because the majority will simply say "kopite behaviour"

It was only last month Martinez blasted him for the Mirallas sending off against West Ham too.

Not saying the red card wasn't deserved. I'm talking more about the fact Martinez spoke out negatively about him only a month ago.

So you think he will give decisions against us because he must be biased.

While Roberto thinks that he doesn't get all his decisions correct.

I don't think that Roberto accused him of being biased.

Martinez said he doesn't understand football. If i was a ref and someone had a dig at me like that in the press, i wouldn't exactly be helpful to them...is my point.

Saturday's referee !!

th

been listening to talkSport going on about Kevin Friend being taken off the Spurs game due to him being a Leicester City/Bristol City fan.

This was apparently done due to Spurs fans taking to Twitter in their thousands. And having heard the talkSport presenter state that for our semi-final being against United, the choice of Anthony Taylor as our referee beggars belief.

He lives two miles from Old Trafford, FFS. How is he going to be neutral? So fellow Blues, let's take to Twitter to voice our concerns about this.

....very interesting article on the BBC site about referees and who they support. An ex-referee suggests Everton fans should be concerned that Anthony Taylor is officiating the semi final because he's from Altrincham. They have to declare their allegiance, doesn't appear Taylor has.

Amazed Clattenburg didn't declare the Pool.

So we won't get a pen then ?
