Aye he is a director of them mate, also from what i remember the fact the Glazers kept him so prominent at united was used as a shield against the fan unrest when they tookover, be a brave decision to push him out and go against what he wishes for them

Glazers haven't shown that willingness to go against a powerful figure at United before and doubt they will risk it now, they push him out get Mourinho - even though the fans want him, and it goes sour, then the fans will forget all about being in favour and will just tear them apart for forcing Charlton out and they will hav elost their bridge betwen them by thei own doing.

Charlton, Ferguson, Gill - class of 92, all dead set against Mourinho, thats some big roadblock to overcome
do we have any quotes?

do we have any quotes?

Most of the stuff is through connected journalists mate, a few old quotes from the past as well - time Moyes took over which was believed to be Charlton/Fergusons doing, and Fergusons recent endorsment of LVG and its timing was no accident, will have a dig around see what i can find archive wise ;)

Don't mean to put you out mate. Just wondering if this is all just fluffity fluff, or has any substance to it.

I honestly don't think they will appoint Mourinho mate

Problem seems to be with them right now, they are two camps, one pro Mourinho and one hugely pro giggs, and don't see either side suddenlmoving too much, maybe a 3rd option that can see both save some face will be the option they go for, the likes of a Hiddink/Pelligrini etc, someone they can position Giggs behind who won't be their for a long period

The one thing i do agree with him is that this week is defining, for the club as well as the manager.

Failure to win the next two games will put the nail in the coffin for him for near all of his current supporters. I don't accept defeat in the derby, none of us should. We haven't won enough of them lately and we should always be looking to get them back, particularly after last season.

As for the mourinho doesnt concentrate on youth, out of all the players he had out on loan at the time, who would have got into their first team above superstars? Very little i guess, we have always sent out players on loan to see if they can cut it - chelsea where no different.

We are a different prospect and we have a couple of players who could make the step up, Martinez has put just as much of a blocker in front of some of them as anyone else could have. Lets see what happens.
