To put it bluntly mate, we've gone from this..Moshiri seems to have moved us into a completely different bracket of conversation regarding the next manager than the one we were having when Moyes went.
I will eat my socks if we get Mourinho, I just cannot see it but would be delighted if proved wrong. Back on planet earth it looks like the odds on Martinez getting the sack are shortening by the day and there seem to be a few rumours emerging that he knows he is on his way, as I mentioned yesterday, someone who is more often right than wrong reckons all will be revealed next week.

he'd also make us big news. The man is a walking headline and the media loves him (or loves to hate him). at the moment the only time we are in the the news is when some blag journo is selling our best players.Say what you like about Jose but getting him is the ONLY scenario in which I can see:
A) us being able to keep Rom/Stones
B) us being able to actually attract decent players with the new investment.
The treatment of Pellegrini in the media is ridiculous. That side he had in 13/14 were one of the best in prem history and played wonderful football. They really were the best side that season despite the media demonising them for robbing their beloved reds and ruining 'the dream'.
That depression thread is gonna explode if Mourinho doesn't end up here ain't it.
In the end United might swerve Mourinho like we and others swerved Clough back in the day...just too mouthy/ wants his own way/ hot to handle
If we do get the chance I hope we take it this time.
Rodrigues and Osman on the same pitch... what a time to be alive!
Thing with United, IF they appoint Mourinho and it doesn't work out then a lot of people at that club will end up getting the boot as the fans will rip them apart mate, to hire Mourinho they will have to basically force Charlton, Ferguson and Giggs/Class of 92 - out of the club as they are all heavinly opoposed, that is a massive risk to take and some powerful figure in that club to basically push out the door, don't knopw if they have the bollocks to take them on really
Players will want to play for him and if he promises them CL football they'll believe he can deliver - unlike our current phenomenal managerAye with Hibbert at rb!
serious note though, the calibre of player we could attract with a proven and top quality manager would be interesting as think it would be massively higher than we have been use too
I think Charlton has a big influence at Utd doesn't he, I was told by a few Utd fans he was certainly influencing getting Moyes the job at the time.
